How close AI age detection gets — and what affects it.

Most age guesser sites just show you a number and hope you're impressed. We think you deserve to know how that number is made — and how much to trust it. Here's an honest breakdown.
There is no universal benchmark for "how old someone looks" — it's a subjective impression, and even humans disagree about it. What an AI age detector actually does is narrower: it reads visible facial features (proportions, skin texture, face shape) and matches them against patterns it learned from thousands of labeled training photos. So the real question isn't "is it perfect?" but "under what conditions is the guess most trustworthy?"
On a clear, front-facing daylight photo, a good age detector tends to land within a few years of how old someone actually looks. On casual selfies the estimate drifts more, and on heavily filtered or poorly lit photos it can be noticeably off — which is exactly why we show you a photo-quality score with every result. If the quality score is low, treat the number as rough.
No age guesser is perfect. Faces age differently, and a photo captures one moment under one light. Treat the number as a fun estimate, not a verdict.
Use our tool the same way you'd use a fun quiz: interesting, often surprisingly close, but not a medical or legal measurement. And unlike some tools, we won't invent a "beauty score" to flatter you — every number in your Face Analysis Report is a real measurement we can explain.
No. Facial age is how old you look to the AI based on visible features. It can differ from your real age — that's the whole point of the test.
Lighting, angle, expression and photo quality all shift the result. Try two similar, clear photos and you'll see the numbers converge.
You can't (and shouldn't) trick it with filters — that just makes the estimate less honest. A clear daylight photo gives the truest reading.
